Different Banks and Their Working Hours

Every Bank in India works differently when it comes to timing or working hours. While some banks have their holidays on Saturdays others don’t.

While some banks work 24 hours 365 days like ICICI bank, others might function 6 days a week.

The lunch hours for every bank also varies from bank to bank.

IndusInd Bank, for instance, works from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. It is to be noted that the timings might vary from region to region as well. In other words, the working hours for IndusInd Bank might be different in Tamil Nadu.

Corporation Bank in Delhi works from 9:30 am to 4 pm. Kotak Mahindra, on the other hand, works from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. It is interesting not that the starting hours might be the same for almost all banks but the closing hours might be different. This can be due to the time duration of the lunch hours of every bank.

The timings for NEFT( National Electronic Fund Transfer) might be 8 am to 7 pm for twelve settlements and 8 am to 1 pm for 6 settlements.

Bank hours are the most convenient hours for the employees as well as the customers.

It provides a comfortable time period for its employees to work and serve its customers while relaxing for a proper time during lunch.

Banking hours have been proved to be one of the most convenient workings both for the employees as well as the customers. The government makes sure that the hours are perfect for everyone visiting the banks.

However, it has been seen that customers do suffer due to the fact that a lot of employees don’t comply with the exact working hours. This makes the customers frustrated and stand in long queues for longer periods of time.

It is expected of the banks to adhere to the particular timing to make it easier and convenient for the customers also to get their work done on time without any hassle.
